Island time with French Connection

French Connection has long been one of my favourite brands, and I’ve been wearing them for so many years. I have always loved their simple and practical, yet versatile and on trend styles, and have found their pieces on rotation in my wardrobe for the longest time. When they approached me to showcase their newest collection during my travels, I knew this would be perfect shot in Hawaii.

Below are four looks I loved wearing during my time on the island of Oahu, as they are super simple and don't compromise on comfort, yet look great in real life and on camera!

Feeling Festive with Cotton On Body

Christmas is fast approaching — as it does so every year, and I’m SO excited! Like many others, I adore Christmas, and I’ve come to appreciate it more and more in the past few years because of all the travel I’ve been doing. It’s such a personal time of year, one filled with love and laughter, with your nearest and dearest. And honestly, I feel like I become a child again on December 25th. In my family, my mum and dad go crazy with the cooking and they whip up a massive feast. My mum scurries around the kitchen while you’ll find my dad roasting on the barbie (barbecue for my international friends). My sister and I deck the house in every Christmas trinket you can think of. All the while, Mariah Carey plays on repeat in the background, of course.

Christmas is more than a day, it’s a feeling. So when Cotton On presented me with their new Christmas Summer collection, I was so keen to create a story that conveyed what Christmas means to me, personally. This collection really resonates with me. It’s so joyful, and when I wear these pieces, I feel so amazingly extra, just like on Christmas day. Also, there’s nothing like fresh new pyjamas, especially on Christmas!

And because Christmas is so personal, you can customise your own Robe with Cotton On. I have a ’T’ on mine. So now, it’s mine only! (or anyone else whose name also starts with T, hehe!)

Hidden Gems

Home is such a wonderful place. Since being home, we have been exploring our own backyard to find some of the most amazing gems in New South Wales. We have always talked about visiting the sand dunes in Stockton. It's been on the list for a while, but we've never had the chance. And my only memory of the sand dunes was visiting when I was very young, because I was born in Newcastle and lived close by until the age of four.

Wanderlust + Co approached me to create some imagery with their collection, Falling Star. The collection is all about dreamy, celestial vibes, which I love when it comes to jewellery. I'm all about layering up in moons and stars, and that's exactly what you get! I immediately thought Stockton would be the best place to finally visit for a sunset picnic & capture some photos in these pieces.

Laurel Hill with Paypal

I’m constantly chasing adventure.

Although I’m always visiting foreign places, I love exploring home as much as I can. Yes, that means road trips!

Two months ago Damian and I headed for Laurel Hill, a place I’ve always wanted to visit, but never had the chance. If you’re not aware, Laurel Hill is roughly 5 hours South West of Sydney. The reason I wanted to visit is specifically for the Sugar Pine Walk. Here, you can take a walk amongst the enormous sugar pines planted in 1928. This species is the largest and tallest of all pines, and it’s something you simply have to see in person.

We headed down South for two nights, one night in Canberra & one in Laurel Hill. One of my most asked questions when I travel is “How do you pack for your trips?”. While my outfits have become an important part of the storytelling and journey as well, I’m always about comfort. When I travel, I want to look good but always feel relaxed in what I’m wearing.

For this particular trip, I pre-planned my outfits with the help of PayPal’s new Facebook Messenger bot Bae. Bae connects you with online retailers from all over the world, including stores from Australia and Poland, to Korea and beyond. She’s super fun, and asked you questions about yourself and personal style to help determine what places are best suits to you.

For my road trip to Laurel Hill, Bae helped me to select pieces from One Teaspoon, a retailer I haven’t shopped with in a while, but definitely aligns with my personal style.

I chose a versatile white knit to throw over the flowy dresses I’m constantly wearing, and shorts for a ‘chilly in Spring’ look. It actually snowed while we were down there so the knit was perfect, and the shorts were perfect for long drives in the car, as well as for Canberra weather.

Do Pandora

This is a long awaited post. Apologies for the delay in getting this one up, friends! I've been wanting to share these visuals on here with you, it's just taken me some time.

Back in April, I spent a week in beautiful Chiang Mai with PANDORA for the launch of their new crafting facility, and campaign, #DO.

Following a press conference and official ribbon cutting, we were able to tour the new factory facility in Chiang Mai. It was awesome to see the behind the scenes care for staff, as well as the process and the quality of work that goes into each and every PANDORA product. The process of making each piece is incredibly long and detailed, completely ethical, and it just goes to show the value of their beautiful pieces. I wish I could show you more, but of course some things must be kept secret.

I'm happy to support PANDORA, because not only are they a brand about ethical production whilst producing high quality jewellery, but so much of their 'DO' campaign really resonates with my own beliefs about 'DOing' whatever it takes achieve your goals, being true to yourself, and never giving up on what you believe in. It's so inspiring and refreshing to see a brand so passionate about spreading positivity and believing in real values.

Although this trip was such a short one, I came out of it feeling incredibly inspired. The two days spent in Thailand felt like a family gathering as I was surrounded by an awesome group of talented and wonderful women. I can't wait to DO more this year, and keep sharing it all with you. Here's to kicking more goals this year and every year, and continuing to inspire and encourage one another. I hope you're all kicking butt in whatever dream you're chasing.
